Our Testimonials

OUR CARE OPTION

We provide innovative cancer care options in Miami Beach, including:

  • TOI clinical research services: Our clinical trials run in three phases and include a follow-up with the patient after concluding. Our clinical trials adhere to all protocols to ensure regulatory compliance and effectiveness, and we handle all of our patients’ documents and data with the utmost care.
  • Radiation oncology: Radiation therapy, also known as radiotherapy, is a common cancer treatment that utilizes carefully selected doses of ionizing radiation to target and damage the DNA of cancer cells.  It damages the DNA within the cancer cells, preventing them from growing and dividing. We offer external and internal radiation therapy. Our board-certified oncologists carefully plan the treatment by examining the stage, type of cancer, tumor size and location, medical history, and any other relevant factors.
  • High-value cancer care: We are a patient-centered institute that offers evidence-based treatments. We believe in treatment that extends beyond cancer, so we give all our patients emotional, psychological, and social support, including our post-treatment survivorship care. With 24/7 access to dedicated health coaches and a mobile-based care platform, you will have access to all the support you need throughout your journey.
  • Women’s cancer care: Our board-certified oncologists specialize in treating women’s cancers, including breast cancer and gynecologic cancer. We recognize that each woman’s journey with cancer is unique and want them to be able to focus on their recovery. We do our best to facilitate that inner focus and peace in our quiet, comfortable cancer center with state-of-the-art equipment.
  • Cancer treatment options: We treat more than 40 types of cancers and have an extensive list of treatment options.

Our North Miami Beach clinic has five exam rooms and nine treatment chairs.

The Categories and Forms of Cancer

Though there are numerous categories, the main types of cancers include:

  • Carcinoma: This form of cancer originates in the squamous epithelium or develops in an organ or gland. Carcinoma is the most common form of cancer and can occur in various organs, including the skin, lungs, breasts, prostate, colon, and pancreas.
  • Sarcoma: Sarcomas develop in the supportive and connective tissues of the body, arising from mesenchymal cells. They can form in any body part and are relatively rare compared to carcinomas.
  • Lymphoma: Lymphoma affects the lymphatic system, which forms part of the body’s immune system. It typically originates in lymphocytes, a type of white blood cell, and can occur in the lymph nodes, spleen, bone marrow, and other lymphoid tissues. There are two main types — Hodgkins and non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
  • Myeloma: Myeloma affects the plasma cells, which are white blood cells found in bone marrow, and they can then spread throughout the body.
  • Leukemia: Blood and bone marrow are the body parts that this cancer attacks. It rapidly produces abnormal white blood cells, crowding out healthy blood cells. Leukemia can be acute or chronic and gets classified based on the type of white blood cell affected and how quickly it progresses.
  • Central nervous system cancers (CNS): These tumors develop in the brain or spinal cord. They can either be primary, originating from the brain or spinal cord, or metastatic, spreading from cancer elsewhere in the body. They are categorized according to their location, cell type, and behavior.
