Patient Care Philosophy:
Dr. Awkar-Lazo is a dedicated physician who believes the most important aspect of cancer treatment is the heartfelt compassion and respect she has for each of her patients. Above everything, Dr. Awkar-Lazo believes that treatment must be geared toward each individual patient and not the disease. “To cure sometimes, treat often, comfort always,” is Dr. Awkar-Lazo’s key to developing a personal relationship of trust and confidence with each of her patients and the implementation of her treatment methods.
