Taras Benzar, M.D.

Biography

Taras Benzar is a dedicated and accomplished medical professional with a diverse background in Hematology-Oncology. Dr. Benzar completed his Clinical Fellowship in Hematology-Oncology at Louisiana State University’s Feist-Weiller Cancer Center. He holds a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from the Medical University of the Americas (MUA) in Nevis, WI, and completed his Residency program in Internal Medicine at Louisiana State University in 2020. He also possesses a Bachelor of Science in Biology from York University in Toronto, Canada.

Throughout his academic journey, Dr. Benzar has demonstrated a commitment to patient care, research, and community service. He is a licensed medical professional with active licenses from the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners and the Medical Board of California. Additionally, Dr. Benzar co-authored and published numerous articles in various medical journals showcasing his dedication to help advance the practice of medicine. His volunteer experiences include contributions to Family Health Day at LSU Health – Feist-Weiller Cancer Center and the Sheppard Pratt Health System in Baltimore, Maryland.
