Biography

Pamela Miel, M.D. always knew that she would become a doctor. This comes as no surprise since both of her parents were physicians. She completed both her pre-med studies and medical degree at the University of the Philippines in Manila. She completed her internal medicine residency at Cook County Hospital, now known as the John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County in Chicago and fellowed in geriatrics at the University of Illinois. After working a number of years as a hospitalist in Las Vegas, she realized that she had a keen interest in oncology and decided to go back and fellow in medical oncology at the Baylor University Medical Center.

Dr. Miel has published articles in the Expert Review of Anticancer Therapy and Clinical Lymphoma, Myeloma and Leukemia. She worked as a community oncologist in Northern Arizona and was President of the Arizona Clinical Oncology Society from 2013 to 2015.

Dr. Miel sees the whole gamut of oncology cases but has a special interest in breast cancer. She is board-certified in internal medicine and medical oncology and is a fellow of the American College of Physicians (ACP).

Dr. Miel is fluent in Tagalog.
