Kamal Sharma, D.O. is a triple board-certified Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. She received her medical degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine (NYCOM) and completed her Residency in Internal Medicine at the University at Buffalo, State University of New York (SUNY). She then went on to complete her Fellowship in Hematology at The NIH National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute in Maryland and completed her Fellowship at The NIH National Cancer Institute.
Dr. Sharma brings nearly 20 years of experience to The Oncology Institute. She has worked respectively as an educator in medical academia, as well as served as principal and associate investigator on clinical trials. In addition, Dr. Sharma has presented talks on clinical trials and targeted therapies for Adult T Cell Leukemia/Lymphoma. She has participated in poster presentations on studies and research within the field of Oncology and Hematology and has an impressive range of publications in these fields.
