Biography
Hao Wei Zhang, M.D. is a Medical Oncologist in Los Angeles, CA. With more than 30 years as a practicing oncologist, Dr. Zhang brings a wealth of experience including a strong track record in research and clinical trials. He has been recognized for his contributions through awards and publications in medical journals.
Dr. Zhang began his medical education at Hunan Medical University in Hunan, China. In 1992, Dr. Zhang would go on to become a Research Fellow at the National Hepatobilliary and Enteric Research Center in the People’s Republic of China. He traveled to Brooklyn, New York where he served as a Hematology and Oncology Resident at Brookdale Medical Center, before becoming a Hematology and Oncology Fellow at Maimonides Medical Center in 2002.
From 2004 through 2006, Dr. Zhang was Co-Chairman of the Department of Hematology-Oncology at the Buenaventura Medical Group in Ventura, CA. Beginning in 2006, Dr. Zhang began his practice before joining The Oncology Institute of Hope and Innovation.
