Amar Parikh, M.D.

Biography

Amar Parikh, M.D., is a board-certified physician who brings comprehensive, compassionate care to The Oncology Institute. Dr. Parikh graduated with his medical degree from the SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York. He went on to complete his Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Illinois Chicago and his Hematology/Oncology Fellowship at Stonybrook University Hospital in New York, where he served as co-chief.

Dr. Parikh is passionate about the field of oncology and has dedicated his time as a researcher and presenter on topics such as the treatment of endometrial cancer throughout the course of his career. In addition, Dr. Parikh is the co-founder of a support group that focuses on bringing together individuals between the ages of 16-40 who have been diagnosed with cancer.

Dr. Parikh has extensive leadership and mentor experience that places an emphasis on encouraging peer development and growth.
