Dr. Pedro U. De La Rosa earned his medical degree from Autonomous University of Santo Domingo in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic and completed his residency in Internal Medicine with USPHS Hospital in New York. Dr. De La Rosa completed his fellowship in Hematology / Medical Oncology at the medical center of the University of Puerto Rico. He holds certifications from the American Board of Internal Medicine in Hematology and Medical Oncology. He also completed a fellowship in Neoplastic Disease at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York.
Dr. De La Rosa established a private practice in the Dominican Republic upon the completion of his fellowship. While living in Tampa, Florida he was clinical assistant professor at the University of South Florida. After moving to Miami, Florida he worked with Oncology Radiation Associates before starting his own practice. He has worked with several medical centers throughout his career including Oneida Healthcare, RPCI Oncology, and NY Oncology Hematology.
