Bio

Dr. Lisa Ge is board certified in medical oncology, hematology, and internal medicine, with over 15 years of oncology practice experience. She completed her residency with Lenox Hill Hospital Internal Medicine program, a major teaching facility of New York University Medical Center in New York City. She then completed a Hematology & Oncology Fellowship at State University of New York Stony Brook University Hospital on Long Island, NY. Dr. Ge also pursued and concluded Master program in molecular and cell biology at SUNY Stony Brook. Prior to joining Women’s Cancer Care, Dr. Ge worked for University of Minnesota Cancer Care for more than 10 years. She was the founding oncologist in building the Community Oncology Service Line from its infancy to five locations in the greater Twin Cities area. She was also an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine and served on several committees.

Over her years of community oncology practice, Dr. Ge developed a career passion and expertise for breast cancer care. She was actively involved in establishing a NAPBC-accredited breast center, served on the Breast Program Steering Committee, and as the site program director. She is passionate about providing individualized care to meet each patient’s needs, and she loves when she is able to visit with former patients. While no breast cancer is alike, Dr. Ge believes that every patient should be treated like her own family. Breast cancer is an intimate, emotional disease, and she feels deeply privileged to be trusted by her patients during such a vulnerable time in their lives. In her spare time, Dr. Ge enjoys music, cardio dance like Zumba, yoga, gardening, and spending time in nature with her teenage son and their beloved Cockapoo, Frankie.
