She then returned to Southern California and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Azusa Pacific University.
She started her nursing career at Barlow Respiratory Hospital in Whittier, California. After working four years as a registered nurse, she received her Master of Science in Nursing from Azusa Pacific University, Family Nurse Practitioner Program.
