Sanjay
Sharma, M.D. is a board-certified medical oncologist and hematologist based in Southern California. He completed his fellowship in Hematology and Oncology at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, where he also served as Chief Fellow. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, Washington University School of Medicine. His educational background includes an M.D. from the Medical College of Virginia and B.A. in Biology from Washington University, along with training at the University at Albany School of Public Health.
Dr. Sharma has served in several leadership roles, including Oncology Medical Director of the Virginia K. Crosson Cancer Center and Physician Site Director of Hematology and Oncology. He has also contributed to numerous intergroup clinical trials as a Principal Investigator and has been involved with the St. Jude Institutional Review Board and Cancer Committee. Additionally, Dr. Sharma has served as a medical advisor to Theragene Pharmaceuticals.
Dr. Sharma has maintained certifications as a Diplomate in Hematology, Oncology, and Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He has participated in phase II and III trials, served on medical advisory boards, and contributed to medical education initiatives. His work has earned him recognition, including awards from the Orange County Medical Association and St. Jude Heritage Healthcare.
