Biography

Dr. Paul La Porte is an experienced and compassionate doctor who believes in providing the best care and treatment to his patients and their families.

Dr. La Porte began his education in 2005 at the University of Chicago where he received a B.A. in biology, a PhD in cancer biology, and his MD in medicine. He completed his residency in internal medicine from Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta and his fellowship in hematology/oncology at the University of California, Los Angeles. He completed his post-doctoral fellowship in chemical engineering from California Institute of Technology.

Dr. La Porte was awarded the Dean Merit Scholarship from the Pritzker School of Medicine and the University of Chicago. He was a semifinalist in the Intel Science Talent Search and Siemens-Westinghouse Science Competition in 2001. Dr. La Porte has authored multiple publications and participated in research projects. He also was a teaching assistant for medical courses at the University of Chicago.

Dr. La Porte is fluent in French.
