Patan Gultawatvichai, M.D. is a Board-Certified Medical Oncologist and Hematologist based in Oregon. He completed his medical education at Rangsit University in Bangkok, Thailand, where he graduated with honors. He went on to complete his residency in internal medicine at Roger Williams Medical Center in Providence, Rhode Island, followed by a fellowship in hematology and oncology at UMass Chan Medical School. He also completed an internship at Banphaeo Hospital in Thailand.
Formerly, Dr. Gultawatvichai served as a hematology and medical oncology attending physician at Reliant Medical Group and he was the Specialty Content Leader in Hematology-Oncology at Optum Care. In addition, he has served as Assistant Professor of Medicine at UMass Chan Medical School, where he has previously held leadership roles such as the Medical Director of the Hepatocellular Carcinoma Program and served on the Research Protocol Review Committee.
His research work has contributed to multiple clinical trials, including studies on pancreatic cancer, hepatocellular carcinoma, and cholangiocarcinoma. Dr. Gultawatvichai has authored several publications in peer-reviewed journals and presented his research at multiple international conferences. In his free time, Dr. Gultawatvichai enjoys playing soccer and tennis, running, cooking, gardening, traveling, skiing, and exotic cars.
