Biography

Ellsworth R. Grant, M.D., C.B.E., is a board-certified Hematologist and Medical Oncologist. He received his medical degree from the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine residency at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA. He completed his fellowship at City of Hope, National Medical Center in Duarte, CA.

Upon completion of his fellowship, Dr. Grant opened his own practice in Los Angeles, CA which has been in operation for nearly 25 years. He served as the Medical Director of The Elizabeth Center for Cancer Detection and in 2004, he founded the Belizean Women’s Wellness Foundation, a non-profit in Los Angeles, CA. In 2008, Dr. Grant founded the Belize Cancer Center Dangriga, a non-profit outpatient treatment facility established in Belize which provides consultation and treatment of persons living with cancer in Belize.

Dr. Grant is a certified scuba diver and enjoys kayaking. On June 16, 2014, he was bestowed as the Commander of the British Empire (CBE) by Queen Elizabeth II for his contributions to medicine. He is fluent in English and Spanish.
