Biography

Do Young Kim, M.D. is a board-certified physician who brings over 10 years of experience to The Oncology Institute. As a subject matter expert, Dr. Kim has received several accolades for his work, spoken at presentations, and has been published in peer-reviewed journals and a number of abstracts over the course of his career. In addition, Dr. Kim served as a principal investigator on varying clinical research topics. 

Dr. Kim earned his medical degree (MBBS) from the University of Queensland School of Medicine in Brisbane, Australia and MD in Lousiana. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at St. Mary Medical Center in Pennsylvania. He completed his Medical Oncology Fellowship program at East Tennessee State University, Quillen College of Medicine in Tennessee where he served as Chief Fellow. He also completed a Clinical Research Fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Oschner Health in Louisiana. 

Dr. Kim is fluent in both English and Korean and is dedicated to providing culturally sensitive care to his patients.
