Over the years, The Oncology Institute has served patients throughout California with comprehensive cancer care. In addition to our cancer treatment and infusion centers, we offer an in-house dispensary, outpatient blood transfusions, comprehensive lab testing, financial counseling, and end-of-life counseling. ONCOLOGY TREATMENTS AT OUR PASADENA CLINIC

We offer various treatment options on Tuesdays in our Pasadena clinic. We have extensive experience in the following therapies:
- Chemotherapy: Chemotherapy uses oral or intravenous medications to reduce tumors and destroy cancer cells. Without intervention, cancer cells grow and multiply quickly. Chemotherapy slows their growth, allowing your body to heal.
- Immunotherapy: Immunotherapy uses the body’s natural immune defense to fight off cancer cells. This treatment can minimize damage to the surrounding healthy cells and reduce side effects from other therapies, such as chemotherapy or radiation therapy.
- Radiation therapy: Radiation therapy uses high-energy radiation to destroy cancer cells. X-rays or gamma rays work to damage the cells’ DNA, ultimately preventing them from multiplying.
- Hormone therapy: Certain hormones can mutate and cause cancer in organs such as the breasts, ovaries, and uterus. Hormone therapy blocks their production to reduce the feeding of cancer cells.
