Our Treatment Options
We offer a range of treatment methods for many forms of cancer, such as carcinoma, sarcoma, leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma. Our state-of-the-art therapies include:
- Chemotherapy: Chemotherapy uses oral or intravenous injection medications to target cancerous cells or tumors. Over time, chemotherapy drugs can reduce cancer’s growth and spread.
- Immunotherapy: Immunotherapy — or targeted therapy — uses the body’s immune system to fight cancer cells. When paired with other therapies, immunotherapy can increase their effectiveness and reduce side effects.
- Radiation therapy: Radiation therapy uses photon rays, such as X-ray and gamma-ray technology, to target and destroy cancer cells. The Oncology Institute offers external and internal radiation therapy options to treat patients based on their cancer type and size.
- Hormone therapy: Hormone therapy blocks hormone production to properly treat related cancers, such as breast cancer, uterine cancer, and ovarian cancer. Once the cancer is under control, your doctor may suggest removing the hormone-producing organs feeding it.
