Nolan Mariano joined TOI in 2022 and was appointed Chief People Officer in 2026. In this role, Mr. Mariano provides strategic leadership for TOI’s People strategy, aligning talent initiatives with organizational goals and patient-centered care. He is committed to building a culture that fosters growth, engagement, and accountability while advancing TOI’s mission to transform oncology care.
During his tenure, Mr. Mariano has modernized TOI’s People function through technology, streamlined processes for scalability, and embedded a robust HR Business Partner model. He has prioritized developing a competitive Total Rewards package that positions TOI as an employer of choice, enabling the organization to attract and retain top talent. Additionally, he leads Learning & Development initiatives focused on empowering high-performing teams dedicated to patient care.
Prior to TOI, Mr. Mariano held leadership roles across diverse industries including clinical research, veterinary care, manufacturing, logistics, and engineering. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Management and Human Resources from California Polytechnic University, Pomona, and is a SHRM Senior Certified Professional. A passionate advocate for the HR profession, Mr. Mariano speaks at universities and industry forums to inspire the next generation of People leaders.
