Biography

Alexandria Hernal is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with experience in internal medicine, perioperative services, family practice, and cardiac progressive care. She holds a Master of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington, and an Associate of Science in Nursing from the Baptist School of Health Professions. She has provided primary care to adult and geriatric patients, managed complex chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, kidney disease, and cardiovascular disease, and collaborated with interdisciplinary teams to support community health. Her background includes prescribing treatment regimens, interpreting diagnostic tests, coordinating referrals, and promoting disease prevention strategies.

Her previous clinical roles include positions at Baptist Medical Center, Naval Medical Center San Diego, Sharp Chula Vista, and Northeast Baptist Hospital. Alexandria is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and is a member of the American Nurses Association. Her special interests include chronic disease prevention, health education, patient advocacy, and expanding access to care through telehealth.
