Biography

Nawazish A. Khan, M.D., M.S. is a hematology-trained, board-certified medical oncologist with over two decades of clinical and research experience in academic medicine, pharmaceutical development, and cancer center leadership. He completed his fellowship in Hematology and Oncology at Loma Linda University Medical Center and his residency in Internal Medicine at East Carolina University in North Carolina. Dr. Khan brings a unique combination of clinical oncology expertise and executive-level biotech cancer research experience. He has served as Clinical Development Lead and Senior Medical Director at Aptose Biosciences and Spectrum Pharmaceuticals, where he contributed to early-phase trials, regulatory strategy, and product lifecycle management.

Dr. Khan previously served as Medical Director for the Cancer Center at Providence St. Joseph Hospital in Northern California, where he established high-output clinical trial programs, chaired the Commission on Cancer (CoC) committee, and led multidisciplinary quality initiatives.

He currently holds a part-time attending position at the Veterans Administration Healthcare System in Loma Linda, CA, and serves as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Loma Linda University. Dr. Khan’s areas of clinical focus include gastrointestinal, genitourinary, hematologic, and CNS malignancies, with a strong interest in precision medicine and immunotherapy.
