Biography

Arlene Yu, M.D., MBA, is a Board-Certified Medical Oncologist and Hematologist based in Pasadena, California. She completed her medical education at the Ateneo School of Medicine and Public Health in the Philippines, earning her dual degree of Doctor of Medicine and Master of Business Administration. She would go on to complete her Internal Medicine Residency at Montefiore New Rochelle Hospital in New Rochelle, New York, followed by her Fellowship at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi Medical Center in Bronx, New York.

Throughout her career, Dr. Yu has demonstrated a commitment to evidence-based medicine, ensuring that each patient receives personalized and effective treatment strategies. She actively engages in research, quality improvement, and patient safety initiatives within her institution. Her contributions to research through publications and presentations in the field of Hematology and Medical Oncology highlight her dedication to advancing medical knowledge and improving patient outcomes. Dr. Yu’s personal philosophy is to always provide compassionate and patient-centered care.

In addition to her clinical and research endeavors, Dr. Yu serves as a mentor to medical students and residents to help guide them in their residency and fellowship journeys. She also enjoys exploring nature, traveling and is an avid reader.
