Dr. Ramesh Kumar is a board certified Hematologist and Oncologist that brings over 15 years of medical experience to The Oncology Institute of Hope and Innovation.
Dr. Kumar began his medical education in 1995 as he attended The Aga Khan University Medical College in Karachi Pakistan. He then continued his education at Aga Khan University Medical College by receiving his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree (MBChB). Thereafter, Dr. Kumar moved to Michigan where he completed his Residency and Fellowship at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, MI.
Dr. Kumar has vast medical experience and has worked as a physician in both Pakistan and the United States. He has worked in both clinical and hospital settings as well as hospital management. He stays active in research studies for both Hematology and Oncology.
He has fluency in Urdu and Sindhi.

Dr. Kumar has a people-first policy and he believes that a team approach aids in providing the best comprehensive and high quality health care plan for each of his patients. He believes that family and friends are an essential part and transparency in his patients’ care is extremely important. He strives to clearly educate all of his patients and create patient centered plans.
