Dr. Kim Phan is a compassionate doctor who believes strongly in providing only the best care to her patients and their families. Dr. Phan began her medical education in 2008 at the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine in Athens, Ohio. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Scripps Mercy Hospital in San Diego, CA. She completed her fellowship in Hematology and Oncology at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in Cincinnati, Ohio. In 2015, Dr. Phan was awarded the Scripps Mercy Hospital Violet B. Ilko Humanitarian Award.
Dr. Phan has multiple publications and abstracts including: “Cutaneous Necrosis of the Ears, ‘Code Blue’ in a 66-Year-Old Man in the Cardiology Department”, and “The Incidence of Second Primary Malignancies after Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumor Before and After the Introduction of Imatinib Mesylate and CGMS in a Rural ICU: A Pilot Study Evaluating Accuracy and Acceptance”. She has also completed several Poster Presentations.

Dr. Phan understands the importance of giving the best individual care for each of her patients. She strives to educate and communicate efficiently with her patients and their families. She enjoys getting to know her patients and their families. She remains active in research and clinical studies.
