Dr. Akshay Amaraneni graduated with his Doctor of Medicine from St. George’s University School of Medicine, St. George’s in Grenada, West Indies. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine from Western Michigan University Homer Stryker MD School of Medicine in Kalamazoo, Michigan and his fellowship in Hematology/Oncology from University of Arizona School of Medicine in Tucson, AZ. He has a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Bachelor of Science in Management from Georgia Institute of Technology, in Atlanta, GA.
Dr. Amaraneni has worked on several research projects/presentations and posters. He also has extensive research experience. In 2007, he received the President’s Undergraduate Research Award (PURA) from Georgia Institute of Technology.
Patient Care Philosophy:
Dr. Amaraneni is a dedicated physician who believes the most important aspect of cancer treatment is the heartfelt compassion and respect he has for each of his patients. He strives to educate and communicate efficiently with his patients and their families. He enjoys getting to know his patients and their families and remains active in research and clinical studies.
