Dr. Akshay Amaraneni graduated with his Doctor of Medicine degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine, St. George’s in Grenada, West Indies. He completed his residency in internal medicine from Western Michigan University Homer Stryker MD School of Medicine in Kalamazoo and his fellowship in hematology/oncology from the University of Arizona School of Medicine in Tucson. He has a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Bachelor of Science in Management from Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta.
Dr. Amaraneni has worked on several research projects, presentations, and posters. He also has extensive research experience. In 2007, he received the President’s Undergraduate Research Award (PURA) from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
Dr. Amaraneni is a dedicated oncologist who believes the most important aspect of cancer treatment is the heartfelt compassion and respect he has for each of his patients. He strives to educate and communicate efficiently with his patients and their families. He enjoys getting to know his patients and their families and is very active in research and clinical studies.
