Wilson Garrido

Vice President, Value Based Contracting
Wilson Garrido is the Vice President, Value Based Contracting at The Oncology Institute. He is responsible for overseeing payor contracting, managing partnerships with payors, and designing a suite of value-based contract models with the goal of driving growth and financial performance.

During his tenure at Molina, Wilson was responsible for Medicare engagement and value business performance of 18 health plans, including key functions of strategic planning, business development, alternative payment models, and provider network strategies. He also collaborated with population health teams and corporate partners to improve care delivery, total quality outcomes and operational performance. Wilson successfully implemented Molina’s value-based financial reporting vendor and infrastructure enhancements designed to drive growth, heighten both provider and community engagement, as well as STAR ratings. He optimized value-based program and contract templates, enhanced competitive provider network positioning within each market, and acted as campaign lead for new market expansions.

Prior to Molina, Wilson formed part of Anthem’s East Region Medicare team, leading network strategy across 7 Markets, developing and implementing value-based programs, collaborating with provider solutions, sales, marketing and product development on growth strategies, helping finance and quality teams enhance revenue and CMS STAR performance through effective value-based payment models, cost of care initiatives, provider contract negotiation and collaboration. He also spent time with Humana in Florida, negotiating and managing MSO/IPA relationships under Medicaid and Medicare risk contracts in Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade County.

Wilson currently resides in Miami, FL, with his wife and 3 children.
