Chief Information Officer
Philip Reger serves as Chief Information Officer at The Oncology Institute. As CIO, Phil Reger leads TOI’s enterprise-wide technology and data initiatives, developing strategies to support TOI’s growth. Phil’s goal is to maintain a best-in-class IT infrastructure and end-user experience for internal and external stakeholders.

Phil has 25 years of IT experience in high-growth environments, with 20 of them specializing in healthcare. He has been recognized for his ability to deliver value-added IT services that are calibrated to the opportunities and unique constraints facing businesses where achieving scale is essential.

Prior to joining TOI, Phil was a member of the founding team of executives that launched Radiology Partners, the first and now largest venture-backed hospital-based radiology practice in the US. Phil was at Radiology Partners for nearly a decade.

As CTO he launched and grew an IT department that met business demands for high levels of acquisitive growth, reliable clinical systems, advanced billing capabilities, and enterprise reporting. Most recently, he partnered with visionary clinicians and data scientists to develop an Artificial Intelligence platform enabling physicians to deliver industry-leading levels of patient care.

Phil was a key member of the Davita IT leadership team that enabled the company to grow from 500 to 2000 points of presence, transforming US kidney care resulting in company growth from $1bn to $8bn, and expanded the number of clinics from 500 to 2,000. Such rapid growth plus expansion into new lines of business including pharmacy and primary care led Phil to launch the Office of the CTO, an enterprise architecture center of excellence to guide the ever-growing portfolio of technology platforms and services.

Phil currently lives in Venice Beach with his wife, three kids, and two dogs.
