Eligibility Coordinator

Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Review daily schedules to identify verifications needed
  • Verify and update patient’s eligibility coverage, resolve and discrepancies prior to patients’ visit
  • Document benefit determination
  • Notify patients of their financial responsibility prior to visit
  • Respond to benefit inquires presented by staff, physicians or patients
  • Alert staff, management and patients of any indentified potential coverage issues
  • Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills in the performance of work assignments and duties

Job Requirement:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic typing, keyboard and computer skills and knowledge
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but no required
